High-quality batteries and connectors with predictable performance and high operational reliability, designed for critical energy systems.

In emergency situations, reliable lighting is essential. That is why Elfa Elementenfabriek supplies high-quality emergency lighting batteries under its own ELP brand, specifically developed for optimal performance at critical moments. Our range includes both complete battery packs for emergency lighting and batteries without connectors or Faston tabs, offering maximum flexibility and reliability.

Where are emergency lighting batteries used?

Our ELP emergency lighting batteries are used in a variety of sectors, including:

  • Commercial buildings such as offices, retail spaces, parking garages, and residential associations (HOAs)
  • Public institutions including hospitals, schools, municipal buildings, and railway stations.
  • Industrial sectors such as construction companies and installation and maintenance services.
  • They are suitable for both fluorescent luminaires and modern LED emergency lighting systems.

Which emergency lighting battery do you need? Follow our step-by-step guide

Every emergency lighting luminaire requires a suitable battery. With the step-by-step guide below, you can quickly and accurately determine the right emergency lighting battery pack:

  1. Make and type of luminaire?
First, check the current brand and type of luminaire
  2. Battery chemistry?
    Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, Li-ion, or LiFePO4? Modern LED luminaires often use Ni-MH, Li-ion, or LiFePO4 batteries.
  3. Voltage (V)?
One cell is typically 1.2 V for Ni-Cd/Ni-MH or 3.6 V / 3.2 V for Li-ion/LiFePO4. The total voltage determines the number of cells in the pack.
  4. Configuration?
Stick (ST), side-by-side (SBS), or special configuration. A special configuration can, for example, consist of a pack in a diamond shape or two sticks connected by wires, which we have various versions.
  5. Capacity (Ah)?
Determines how much power is in a pack, i.e. the power per time. This also determines the period of use. A higher capacity gives a longer operating time.
