Elfa created an innovative energy storage solution for Roompot Beach Resort Brouwersdam. Indeed, due to grid restrictions, generated solar energy could not be returned. This required a smart approach. The project shows how sustainable technology contributes to more efficient energy use and future-proof recreation parks.

The Municipality of Lisse called in Elfa Elementenfabriek when the public clock on Square came to a standstill due to a battery that was difficult to replace. Thanks to rapid analysis and specialist knowledge, Elfa supplied the right battery, so that the clock worked again within a short time. The municipality now has clear information for future management.

Commissioned by the municipality of Amsterdam, Portpay monitors navigation on the canals with a smart, data-driven system. By using sensors, cameras and a reliable energy supply system based on LiFePobatteries, 24/7 monitoring is possible. The collected data is used for real-time control, analysis and improving safety and quality of life on the water.

Together with the defense and partners, Elfa develops directly applicable energy innovations. For military use, Elfa created a new family of battery chargers with interchangeable adapter plates, allowing multiple battery types to fit on one system. There are vehicle, suitcase, and 19-inch rack variants. Loaders can discharge up to 30% according to transport rules. In addition, fast, battery-free analyzers provide the status.

In 2025, Elfa Elementenfabriek, together with Technische Unie, realized a renewed planogram in all 37 service centers. Procell Constant was completely replaced by Procell Intense batteries and the lighting range was expanded to include Coast head and hand lights. Despite a very tight schedule and limited shelf space, Elfa was able to implement a balanced, future-proof range that responds to customer needs, turnover rate and turnover potential.
