Good lighting is essential for working both safely and efficiently. Professional flashlights and handheld lights must therefore be reliable in every situation. At Elfa, you will find a wide range of high-quality lights from renowned A-brands.

A professional flashlight or hand lamp is indispensable in many situations. Many professionals therefore need a good flashlight or hand lamp on a daily basis, from installers and plumbers who work in dark corners to emergency services and security guards who work at night. For these professionals, it is clear that good lighting is an essential prerequisite for working safely. If you cannot see what you are doing, you are more likely to make mistakes or get injured.

However, even for people who do not work in the dark every day, a good flashlight or hand lamp is occasionally important. That is why Elfa offers a wide range of inspection lamps, flashlights, and handheld lights from A-brands such as COAST, Maglite, Ledlenser, Peli, and Mica.

Powerful professional LED flashlight

Below is an overview and explanation of our range of flashlights for professional use. More information is provided about Maglite and COAST, and two models are highlighted.

- Maglite flashlights

Maglite has been a leading brand in flashlights for over forty years. Defense, police, fire services, ambulance staff, security guards, and other government institutions therefore use this durable brand. A commonly used model is the Maglite LED flashlight ML150LR rechargeable.

This Maglite flashlight is rechargeable thanks to a powerful lithium battery. It is an extremely reliable and virtually indestructible flashlight, which is why it is popular among emergency services. Almost all Maglite flashlights are made of aircraft-grade aluminum, making them water-resistant and shock-resistant. This flashlight is therefore ideal for professional use.

- COAST flashlights

Another commonly used brand with similar quality is COAST. COAST flashlights are also highly reliable and virtually indestructible, so reliable that Elfa provides a 5-year warranty on all COAST lighting. In addition, this brand is considerably more affordable than comparable products from Maglite or Ledlenser, for example. One of the COAST flashlights that we offer is the COAST HX5 flashlight.

What types of flashlights are there?

At Elfa, you can choose from a wide range of inspection lights, flashlights, and handheld lights. In our online catalog, you can easily select from the best and most modern models. Below is an overview of the most common types:

  • Inspection lamp/pen light: a compact version of a flashlight. As the name suggests, this lamp is usually the size of a (large) pen and fits easily in a breast pocket. Ideal for everyday use with light equipment. You can think of the COAST G19.

  • Standard flashlights: these are commonly used for daily use. They often provide more than ten hours of light, are usually water-resistant, and are built to withstand impact. An important choice is between rechargeable and non-rechargeable models.
  • Rechargeable flashlights: For example, consider the Maglite ML150LR, the Ledlenser no.2 and the HP7R by COAST. With a built-in battery, charging these lights is a breeze and no more batteries need to be changed. So an environmentally friendly choice! These flashlights are ideal for daily use.
  • Non-rechargeable flashlights: Examples of good non-rechargeable flashlights include the Maglite LED (ST2D015), the Ledlenser P7 and the HP7PLUS by COAST. The non-rechargeable variants are usually slightly less powerful than the rechargeable variants. But they are often also a bit more affordable. As a result, they are usually an interesting option for people who don't need their flashlights every day. Please note; the flashlight must be used occasionally to prevent batteries from leaking. • Handlights: There are also (pocket) lights that don't look like the classic flashlight, these are usually called hand lights. It is often a non-cylindrical shape and the lamp is too big to be stored in a pocket. An example of this is the Mica ML-808. By the way, this hand lamp is Atex zone 1, which means that it is suitable for use in certain explosive situations. Read more about ATEX zones.

  • Mountable lights and headlamps: in some cases it is important to keep both hands free; for such situations, there are the mountable lights and headlamps. Mountable clip lights can be attached to a helmet or clothing. Very useful for professionals who want to keep their hands free. A good example is the HX3 clip lamp by Coast. This type of lamp is widely used in construction and for recreation/mountaineering, etc. The Coast FL14 headlamp is also very interesting for outdoor use or in the workplace.
