Elfa Supports Solar Boat Twente During Monaco Energy Boat Challenge

Elfa Elementenfabriek is pleased to announce that we have supplied an advanced battery pack for Solar Boat Twente, which participated in the prestigious Monaco Energy Boat Challenge from July 1-6. This event, known for its focus on sustainability and technological innovation in the maritime sector, provided an excellent platform to demonstrate our technological capabilities.
The battery pack we supplied has a configuration of 14 cells in series (14S) and 7 parallel (7P), resulting in a voltage level of 50.4V and a capacity of 35Ah (1764Wh). Thanks to liquid cooling and software-based limiting via a Battery Management System (BMS), the pack complies with all official regulations. Furthermore, the pack is over-dimensioned, allowing it to easily support a maximum peak power of 160A for 2-3 minutes. In fact, our pack can even deliver 245A for 3 minutes.
