Disposal Fee Rate List 2026

The new rates from Stichting OPEN (formerly Stibat) will take effect on January 1, 2026. This annual adjustment is relevant for companies working with batteries and battery packs. The changes have been established to comply with evolving regulations and to further optimize battery collection and recycling.

For all products that contain a battery (or come with one separately), a mandatory disposal fee must be paid to Stichting OPEN This is in line with international environmental laws and regulations. This also applies to devices supplied with batteries, including flashlights and headlamps. As an industry partner, Elfa Elementenfabriek is pleased to inform its customers about the current disposal fee rates.
