Together with the defense and partners, Elfa develops directly applicable energy innovations. For military use, Elfa created a new family of battery chargers with interchangeable adapter plates, allowing multiple battery types to fit on one system. There are vehicle, suitcase, and 19-inch rack variants. Loaders can discharge up to 30% according to transport rules. In addition, fast, battery-free analyzers provide the status.

A new family of battery chargers
Imagine: there are several loaders in a vehicle from all brands. They each have their own power and size, require separate mounting plates and use different cables. The result? A jumble of materials, expensive to buy and inconvenient to use.
That can be done differently. That is why a user presented this situation with Elfa as a challenge. Together with a market party, we developed a completely new family of battery chargers. Thanks to interchangeable adapter plates, now different batteries on one charging system be connected.
The modular charging system is available in three variants:
- Installation in vehicles: permanently installed, but can be removed quickly.
- Case version: handy and suitable for use in the field, with which up to 12 batteries can be charged or discharged at the same time.
- 19-inch rack version: This allows up to 48 batteries to be charged or discharged at the same time.
Extra advantage: the chargers can reduce batteries to 30% charge, as required for lithium battery transport under IATA and ADR rules. In addition, the compact analyzers determine the status of a battery within seconds and do not contain a battery, so they can be transported freely.
