We are happy to inform you about the disposal fee and what this means for your products. Feel free to contact us.
For all products that contain (or are supplied with) a battery, a disposal fee must be paid to the OPEN Foundation (formerly Stibat). This is in accordance with international environmental laws and regulations. This also applies to devices that include batteries (such as flashlights).

Stichting OPEN (Organization Producer Responsibility e-Waste Netherlands) is the national producer organization that carries out the legal producer responsibility for electrical devices, lamps, batteries, and (bicycle) batteries on behalf of producers and importers in the Netherlands. It organizes and finances the collection and recycling of these products through, among other channels, the Wecycle network. This ensures that products are collected safely after use and can be reused as raw materials.
Manufacturers and importers pay a waste management or disposal fee for this. Since 1 January 2024, Stibat has merged into this organization and continues under the name of the OPEN Foundation.
