In 2015, SAFT introduced a new product line that has since become one of its flagship innovations: Xcelion®, a series of advanced lithium-ion batteries.

SAFT Xcelion® product range
1. Xcelion® 6T
The Xcelion® 6T is a 24V, 60Ah lithium-ion battery designed as a powerful and reliable replacement for traditional lead-acid batteries. Its compact design allows it to replace two 12V lead-acid batteries with a single unit, achieving a significant weight reduction (up to approximately 75% less weight).
Thanks to its high energy density, integrated Battery Management System (BMS), and robust construction, the Xcelion® 6T typically offers a service life that is 5 to 10 times longer than that of lead-acid batteries.
2. Xcelion® 56V
The Xcelion® 56V is designed for 48V power systems and operates within a voltage range of approximately 40–60V. This battery combines high efficiency with reliable energy storage and is used in applications such as electric mobility, industrial systems, and stationary energy storage.
3. Xcelion® 6T-E
The Xcelion® 6T-E is an energy-optimized variant of the Xcelion® 6T, offering higher nominal capacity and greater energy content. This makes it suitable for applications requiring longer autonomous operation and fewer charging cycles.
