How does Zinc Air-Alkaline work?
Cegasa batteries use a specially formulated manganese dioxide cathode that is continuously regenerated by atmospheric oxygen. As a result, significantly less active cathode material is required than in conventional alkaline cells, while the available amount of anode material is actually higher.
The result:
- Higher capacity than other Zinc Air-Alkaline batteries on the market.
- A battery that only activates after the seal or sticker has been removed, ensuring an exceptionally long shelf life.
Constant output voltage = consistent performance
The voltage of Cegasa Zinc Air-Alkaline batteries varies by less than 2% during full discharge. This offers several important advantages:
- Equipment performance remains consistent, even when the battery is nearly empty.
- In applications such as signaling, light intensity remains stable.
- Maximum use of battery capacity.
